Freedom
He had been so in love. He was besotted, devoted, amorously adoring of this mare who strode about in her slipt, well structure frame, hide glimmering a bright pearl, blindingly white whenever the sun shone her blessed rays atop her bodice. He was willing to live the rest of his life beside Silk, she knew this. He had gone from having so much to so little, only to be completely picked up by this mare, going back into that vicious circle of having so much; but it had been she that had reduced him to once more having nothing. She disappeared off of the face of Dreaver, vanishing from sight without the smallest inclination of where she was going and whether or not she would be coming back. She just left without a word.
BANG. The first bullet through his heart.
Tales told of how she returned no more then a day after he had left, hearing word of the death of his father he had returned back to his herd to lead the harem into a new land. Dom left the herd in the hands of his cousin, who he thought to be a wise and well-governed youth, a youth he had soon learnt had given his mares to the dark wrath of the brotherhood in exchange for survival. Dom gave everything away to go in search of Silk; he travelled so far for so long, his legs were hanging on by mere sinews and his body felt like a puppet being dragged along my fragile strings.
It was fate, or so he had told himself, that he had picked up her very scent in this strange and foreign land. He had ran to her, legs moving the fastest they had moved in a year. But wait.
“Hello, Lady Amber. I’m Star, and this is Comanche, my mate. We’re deeply in love, and were just looking for the breeding grounds; could you tell us where they are?” Only it hadn’t been ‘Star’ it had been Silk. His silk.
BANG. The second bullet.
He wouldn’t let her explain, she needn’t have bothered. She had changed and that was so, bluntly obvious. Her innocence, her love and warmth and her very sweet essence had vanished and instead, what stood before him was a harlot intent on no more then twisted whatever she use to have till they broke. We were all like RAGDOLLS in her game, old toys that she loved, so long ago, but had outgrown and thrown in the bin without another thought.
Harry had came along and Dom had followed, Harry had been there for him, comforting through the ordeal of being captured. Harry had even been the one to open that stable door, leading to freedom, leading to a life with his beloved Silk. What silk didn’t know was that Freedom had not left with the human, the old man had not allowed it. Dom had returned to find Silk for the final time, only to see ‘Star’ and Ruben. Well, never before had such a Freedom meant so much by so few.
BANG, BANG; my baby shot me down.
|xD Dom doesn’t know Silk is here by the way….|
